Lombard Insurance was started in 1990 by the visionary George Lombard as a niche guarantee insurance specialist. This entrepreneurial spirit has guided our growth, ability to adapt and expansion for over 3 decades.
Today, we’re a partnership-focused business with a view to build meaningful, long-term collaborations delivering niched insurance solutions across multiple industries. We work with 10 independent specialist UMA partners who work through a broker-distribution model, and with 3 divisional specialist teams who work directly with clients and through brokers.

Our partner teams, backed by extensive experience and combined diverse skills, understand the markets they work in and the dynamics unique to different industries. This enables us them to rate risk fairly and specific to business and market realities.
Our focus is on providing stable capital but agile capacity to enable our UMA and divisional partners in crafting unique offerings and solutions, reacting to situations at critical moments, changes in the market and new opportunities – even in and from the most unexpected places. This is core to what makes us leaders in delivering and supporting specialist insurance solutions.

Our management teams are hands on – giving you access to decision-makers, and along with our skilled support and admin teams, we’re able to deliver accurate and comprehensive risk management with faster turnaround times.
